6th Grade Choir

• Sixth grade students who select choir as their music class for the year will learn how to use their singing voice as a part of a large group ensemble. Students will also learn music theory and music history.
• Some solo opportunities may be available but are never required.
  
• The music students will sing represents a variety of styles and genres including pop, jazz, folk, rock, world music, Broadway, and movie soundtracks, well as traditional choral music.
• Students will focus on learning to sing in unison and in 2-part harmony.
• Performances are a graded requirement of this class. Performances occur in the 2nd and 4th quarters of the school year.
