CAST AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

At the audition, prepare the following: 

• Sign up for one of the two audition slots here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0949AFAA2CA5FD0-61503014-cinderella

• Select of the songs linked below  - it does not have to match character(s) you're auditioning for (if any).

• Choose one of the sides (the short paragraph of lines).

• Wear comfortable clothing to learn and perform a short dance.

Some tips and reminders:

• The Karaoke track will be played for you at the audition. 

• You may use your phone or printed lyrics for the song or the side, though memorizing is recommended!

• Choose whether you want to read or sing first so you’re ready to roll when you walk in!

Timeline of the audition process:

• Meet in the MHS Choir Room at 4:30pm or 6:30pm on Friday, January 16th.

• Show up at the start of your audition slot.

• We will discuss the evening and answer questions.

• Students will audition one at a time in the choir room for Mr. Fancher and Sarah.

• Each student will read and sing their prepared side and song.

• Other students will head to the auditorium to learn and practice dance.

• Once all students have sung and read, everyone will head to the auditorium and dance in groups of 4-6 for their dance audition.

• At the end, we will inform those who should return for callbacks on Saturday, 1/17 at 3:00pm.

• The cast list will be posted on www.MayfieldVocalMusic.org by Sunday, 1/18 at 1pm.

• Required student/parent meeting will take place on Tuesday, 1/20 at 6pm in the MHS Auditorium, immediately followed by a full cast & crew read-through.
